"Heavy Rain and Flooding"
No. 26(342/2551) Time Issued : September 16, 2008

A trough of active low pressure lies across the North and the Northeast, and the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf. Abundant rain is likely over upper Thailand with heavy to very heavy rain in many areas such as Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phichit, Phetchabun, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Si Sa Ket, Buri Rum, Surin, Nakhon Ratchasima, Saraburi, Lop Buri, Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. People in the lowland and foothill of these areas should beware of flooding conditions during a few days. Wave height in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf is likely about 2 meters, and all ships should proceed with caution during 16-17 September 2008.

We are located in the highlands. Not much issue of flooding. But this may affect our downward trip to Site X. Lets see how things go.

What next?
